Medical Education Disclaimer
MediKarya is strictly an educational simulation platform. The content, including patient cases and AI-generated responses, is for training purposes only and does NOT constitute professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It must never be used to guide real patient care.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using MediKarya, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.
2. Educational Use Only
You acknowledge that MediKarya is designed solely to facilitate medical education through simulation. The platform intentionally uses hypothetical scenarios. While we strive for clinical accuracy, medicine is a rapidly evolving field, and errors may occur. Always consult standard medical literature and guidelines for real-world clinical decision-making.
3. User Accounts & Conduct
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old and a current medical student, resident, or healthcare professional.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Prohibited Actions: You agree not to misuse the platform, including but not limited to: sharing your account, attempting to reverse engineer the AI models, or using the platform for any illegal purpose.
4. For Case Writers & Contributors
If you contribute clinical cases ("Contributions") to the platform:
- No PHI: You warrant that your Contributions do NOT contain any Protected Health Information (PHI) or real patient identifiers, in compliance with HIPAA and relevant data protection laws. All cases must be fully anonymized or fictional.
- License Grant: By submitting a case, you grant MediKarya a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display the content for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.
- Attribution: We agree to provide appropriate attribution to you as the author of accepted cases within the platform UI where feasible.
5. Intellectual Property
The MediKarya platform, including its AI logic, interface design, graphics, and code, is the proprietary property of MediKarya and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall MediKarya, nor its directors, employees, or partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use or inability to use the service.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
